Mpika Solar PV Power Project (45 MW + 270 MWh BESS)

Project Overview

The Mpika Solar PV Power Project was developed as a hybrid solar-plus-storage facility intended to improve grid reliability while delivering competitively priced renewable energy. Large-scale battery storage was incorporated to enhance dispatch flexibility and support peak demand periods.


Penol Energy’s Role

Penol Energy provided feasibility-level technical, economic, and financial advisory services focused on PV–BESS configuration, battery sizing, and system performance assessment.

Outcomes

Nsongwe–Mukuni Solar PV Power Project (50 MW + 270 MWh BESS)

Project Overview

The Nsongwe–Mukuni Solar PV Power Project was structured as a large hybrid solar and battery storage facility designed to provide both energy delivery and grid-support services.


Penol Energy’s Role

Penol Energy supported feasibility-level studies with particular emphasis on battery storage sizing, operational use-case assessment, and financing readiness.

Project Overview

The Savoy Farm Solar PV Project was an early-stage utility-scale solar development requiring a comprehensive feasibility assessment.


Penol Energy’s Role

Penol Energy undertook a full feasibility study covering technical concept development, solar resource assessment, and economic viability analysis.
